Allan Otte

Allan Otte is a Danish painter in a modern, figurative style. Educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2007, Otte’s works often depict rural situations loaded with unease. In their extreme precision and level realism, Otte’s very characteristic and highly evolved painterly style gives his paintings a unique touch, giving an almost extinct genre an up-to-date makeover in various ways of applying paint, pictures sampling and the general use of graphic software. His relatively simple, so simple they are unusual, subject matters thus consist of highly complex and varied surfaces – adding a depth in more than one sense. Otte has held solo shows at Gl. Holtegaard, Skive Kunstmuseum and Galleri Tom Christoffersen.
