Anne-Suzette Sadolin

Anne-Suzette Sadolin is a Danish painter influenced by her background in Christiania and especially the alternative and feminist movements going on in the seventies. She tried different jobs, studied Anthropology and built a boat to travel to America, but in 1979 she finally decided to continue her autodidact impulse and enrol in The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Her work is connected with nature and the world around her. Her paintings are reflecting everyday objects like chairs or tables, that are not chosen by chance, but full of feelings and implications. More recently she has participated in the movement Sub Rosa, composed of Scandinavian female artists that wanted to improve the reflexion about the female role in art.
