Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen

Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1992. His paintings contain peculiar motifs that create poetic allegories of the everyday life and the mundane. In recent years Schmidt-Rasmussen has based his work on his immediate surroundings, the post-industrial, suburban part of Copenhagen known as Sydhavnen and the people who inhabit it. Schmidt-Rasmussen’s artistic pratice also contains collages and writings. He has exhibited at several galleries and museums mostly in Denmark and is represented by Gallery Nicolai Wallner.
