Claus Larsen

Claus Larsen is a Danish artist living in Milano, Italy where he works with medical and scientific illustrations as well as paintings. His many surprising talents as well as his ambitions are the foundation for his remarkable journey. He has a degree in Medicine from the University of Copenhagen (1987), was President of the Association Européenne des Illustrateurs Médicaux et Scientifiques (2007-2013) and in 2009 he organized the AEIMS congress in Milano. 2009 also became the year he started exhibiting his artworks. “My works, in which nature as well as the collective memory is included as some of the primary elements, allows for multiple interpretations. The vibrant colors combined with a detailed renaissance technique are the foundation for the detailed paintings with optical illusions and visual traps” Claus Larsen elaborates on his paintings.
