Jone Kvie

The works of the Norwegian artist Jone Kvie are equivocal and uniform. The subject matter is polysemic in contrast to the formal qualities, but the clear perspective in Kvie’s sculptural works is the human experience of our world, or rather universe. Although often addressing grand themes such as the origins of our solar system, Kvie keeps the human conception and rationalizations central. Kvie graduated from the Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts in 1997 and has exhibited extensively through Europe, and also in Illinois, USA and Beijing. Recently, Kvie held solo shows at Galleri Nils Stærk ind Copenhagen and in Elastic Gallery, Malmö.
