Kehnet Nielsen
Kehnet Nielsen is a painter educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He gets inspiration from poetry, music, European art and his personal idols. In his paintings you find traces of implied figuration, but the focus is the artist’s existential struggle with colour, space and canvas. Nielsen was a part of the Danish movement “De unge vilde” in the 80’sbreaking through with the exhibition ”The Knife On The Head” (1982, Tranegården, Gentofte) which was named after one of his paintings. Nielsen is represented at Gallery Susanne Ottensen and Gallery Bechman and has exhibited at several museums in Denmark.
