Kirsten Klein is a photographer, who takes evocative, profound photos, seeking to depict the raw but poetic nature. Kirsten Klein is an educated portrait and museum photographer. Her photos are mostly in black/white. They present nature in a sculptural and authentic way and seem to catch a certain life-affirming energy. She has received a photographic book prize from The Ministry of Culture in 1994, the Thorvald Bindesbøll Medal, and she has illustrated several books. She is among the 14 photographers chosen to participate in the project “Danmark under forvandling”, a book and several exhibitions in 2010. Kirsten Klein is a member of the artist association ”Corner”, and she has had several solo shows at Galerie Birthe Laursen and Danmarks Fotomuseum among other venues.
