Kristian Dahlgård

Kristian Dahlgård creates simple and minimalistic sculptures, with a twist of expressive wildness and imaginative figuration. He studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and was part of the generation of “De unge vilde” who sought an expressive, visual language as opposed to the minimalistic style of the 1970’s. Dahlgård’s works are also characterized by several ambiguities, for instance an absence of mass, which creates shapes and figures. Kristian Dahlgård’s works are displayed at international and national exhibitions, e.g, at Gallery Asbæk in Copenhagen.
