Louise Hindsgavl
Louise Hindsgavl is educated from Designskolen Kolding (1995-1999) and School of Ceramics, Cencal, Caldas da Reina, Portugal (1997) specialising in one-off pieces. Hindsgavl mainly works in porcelain. Her works have a distinctly narrative expression, both when she works with one-off pieces and with more utilitarian items. In 2004, she received a grant from the Danish Arts Foundation. That year she also won the Danish ‘Biennial Award’ at the Craft and Design Biennial. Since then her humorous and original work has been featured in exhibitions at Galleri Egelund, Cph and Nancy Margolis Gallery, New York and is respresented in various collections worldwide.
