Per Kirkeby

Per Kirkeby, one of the most famous Danish artists of our time, was born in Copenhagen in 1938. Graduated in Natural History from The University of Copenhagen in 1967, he later trained as visual artist at The experimental art school in Copenhagen, the so-called Ex-school. Kirkeby’s work has been exhibited in several solo shows and group exhibitions in Denmark and internationally. He is also represented in a succession of Danish and international museums and private collections. Per Kirkeby lived and worked in Copenhagen and on the Island of Læsø.
