Macro Outlook: The US rate cut cycle has begun

Summary: US CPI moderated last month thereby supporting another record in the S&P 500 and a small recovery in bonds and gold rallied while the dollar softened. Overall not a report to spark new life into a holiday impacted market. We also talk about technology stocks underperforming the rest of the market and comment on strong Q2 earnings from Foxconn and NIO's earnings from yesterday. On commodities we touch on the situation in oil markets with the latest comment from the White House calling for higher OPEC production.
