If a client chooses to use third-party authentication credentials (from platform providers such as Google and Apple) to access the Bank’s trading platform, they are informed that the terms and conditions of the respective authentication service provider (e.g., Google, Apple) will apply. The client acknowledges and accepts that they have reviewed the terms and conditions, security measures, data protection, and confidentiality policies of the authentication service provider and agree to them. Accessing the trading platform using third-party authentication credentials is at the client's own risk, and the Bank disclaims any associated liability.
In accordance with applicable laws, the Bank applies strong authentication of the client when the client carries out a transaction via the means of remote communication that may involve a risk of fraud or other fraudulent use. Strong authentication is performed by confirming a message contained in the relevant Saxo app on the mobile phone previously assigned to the user (e.g., via TAN confirmation). In the case of a transaction validated by strong authentication, the Bank may refuse to reimburse the client if the client has acted with gross negligence, has wilfully failed to comply with their obligations to protect the personalised security details of their account, or has committed fraud. In addition, a transaction is deemed to have been confirmed by the client as soon as it has been initiated by strong authentication, unless the client provides proof to the contrary.
